Brake Service & Repair

Valparaiso, Indiana

Other than tires,
brakes comprise the most important safety component of your vehicle.

Brakes are no place to cut corners on auto repair. Whether you are hearing noises, feeling a difference when braking, or a brake light is on, contact us for a diagnostic appointment.

Warning signs that your car’s brakes may need service:

Squealing or grinding noises when using brakes. This could mean your brakes need to be adjusted or that your brake pads are worn and need replacement. This may be unsafe and needs to be inspected immediately.

Your dashboard’s Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) light turns on. This means there is a fault in the ABS system and you need it serviced. The other Brake Dash Light glows red when the system recognizes low brake fluid or worn out brakes with a pad wear sensor. This indicates that your brake fluid is low. You may have a leak in your brake line. This is unsafe and needs to be inspected immediately.

Over time the friction from using your brakes causes constant heating and cooling of the brakes. This will cause moisture condensation to be added to the brake fluid of your vehicle and will break down the properties of the brake fluid. This can be corrected by a simple brake fluid system flush.
